Best Western Plus Hotel Fredericia was built in 1986. The following year, the hotel was expanded with a conference hall and an additional restaurant area. In 2011, the Halberg family took over the hotel, and since then they have invested heavily in the hotel with a thorough renovation of all rooms and facilities.
In January 2017, the hotel was expanded with 41 rooms and 2 conference rooms as well as some lounge areas. In addition, in spring 2021, the building was refurbished and the restaurant was expanded. The hotel is centrally located for various excursion destinations in and around Fredericia. For example, you have as immediate neighbors: Madsby Legepark, Fredericia Miniby, Fredericia Idrætscenter, Fredericia Golf Club and Messe C.
The hotel is Green Key certified. Today, the hotel is part of Halberg Hotels together with Best Western Plus Hotel Svendborg and Hotel Garni and Hotel Ærø in Svendborg.

Our reception is open 24 hours a day. At night, our night porters are often inspecting the house, so you may need to call them at the number listed on the reception desk.
The front door is locked between 23:00 and 05:45. During this time, our night porters are contacted via the call system located at the main entrance.
The hotel accepts the following credit cards: Diners Club, Visa, Eurocard and MasterCard.
A small fee will be applied when using some credit cards.
Smoking is not allowed in the hotel or rooms.
Violation of the smoking ban will result in a compensation claim of DKK 1,500.
If the fire alarm is activated due to smoking indoors, dismantling or sabotage, this will result in a compensation claim of DKK 9,000 = the price of a blind/false alarm.
Please note that the room is generally not cleaned during a stay. In the room, you’ll find a doorhanger that reads “Please make up room” on one side and “Privacy please” on the other.
If you wish to have your room cleaned during your stay, the “Please make up room” page must be posted on the door handle.
If you do not wish to be disturbed/cleaned during your stay, the door hanger with “Privacy Please” must be hung.
In case of accidents that require extra cleaning, whether in the room or in the common areas, a cleaning surcharge of DKK 1,500 will be charged.
All electrical outlets in the hotel are 220 volts.
All sockets are activated with key cards that are inserted into the holder on the wall by the bathroom door. Except for outlets at your desk, where there is constant power.
A wake-up call can be booked at reception.
Since there are no longer landline phones in all rooms, we call your cell phone to wake you up.
If you don’t have a cell phone, you can borrow one from reception or we can knock on your door.
Reception is happy to assist with photocopying – 24 hours a day.
Internet: There is a free wireless network available throughout the hotel. Some rooms have cable access. Please contact reception for further information.
In the room you will find information on how to access our WIFI. If you are only at the hotel for a one-day conference, you can get information about our WIFI at the reception.
TV: We kindly ask that you do not change the settings. If the TV is not set correctly, please contact the reception.
All rooms also have a Chromecast available – see instructions in the room.
NOTE: The remote control is encoded and can only be used with the hotel’s TV. In addition to in-room TVs, there are TVs in the lobby/bar area and in the lounge area by the City Gate.

The hotel is not responsible for money and valuables.
Valuables can be stored in the room’s safety deposit box – instructions for use can be found on the box.
In order for the heating system and air conditioning to operate, it is a prerequisite that windows and doors are closed and the key card is in the card holder on the wall just inside the door.
Heating: The underfloor heating control system is mounted on the bathroom wall and can be adjusted using the up/down arrows. By default, the heat is set to 22.5 degrees, which can be adjusted +/- 3 degrees.
NOTE: If windows or doors are opened or air conditioning is activated, the display on the room control shows 10 degrees, which is a frost protection.
Air conditioning: Operated with a mobile remote control mounted on the wall. It has the following features:
When the air conditioning is on, the heat is automatically turned down and when the air conditioning is off, underfloor heating is released.
Bar & lounge: There is a bar in the reception/lobby area – open 24 hours.
The hotel’s second bar/nightclub, “Prince Corner”, is located downstairs.

FAN: If you would like a table fan in your room, reception will be happy to deliver it to your room free of charge.
Express check-out is available. You can either pay on arrival at the hotel or provide your credit card number so that we can charge the payment and either send a receipt by email or leave the receipt at the reception.
If you have forgotten something at home, we have toiletries such as toothbrush/paste, shaving kit, sewing kit, comb and sanitary pads etc.
A shoe shine machine is available on the 1st floor by room 320.
If you would like an ironing board and iron, we are happy to deliver them to your room free of charge – please contact reception.
Sewing kits are available free of charge at reception.
A selection of daily newspapers is available for free in our lobby.
The front desk will be happy to wash and dry clean your clothes. Laundry bags are available at the reception upon request. Please drop off your clothes in the morning before 9:00 am and they will be returned the next day.
The laundry is closed on weekends and public holidays.
You can always ask the reception to book a taxi – please book well in advance.
It is possible to bring a dog/cat in some rooms for a fee.
Free parking is available in the hotel’s own parking lot, however, a license plate must be registered upon arrival.
There is also free parking in the parking lot at the sports center and stadium.
The hotel has 6 charging stations for electric cars. Electric cars can be charged for a fee. Download the OK app and start charging.
To get started with the OK app, download it where you usually download apps for your phone. If you have an iPhone, download the app from the App Store. If you have an Android phone, download the app from Google Play.
SAUNA: Sauna facilities are available in the Fredericia swimming pool and water park next to the hotel – pick up your free entrance ticket at the reception.
FITNESS & SWIMMING: As a guest at Best Western Plus Hotel Fredericia, you have 1 free entrance to both the fitness center and to Fredericia Swimming Pool and Waterpark next to the hotel. Pick up your ticket at the reception. Each guest has 1 free entry to the swimming pool/waterpark per stay.
Golf: The hotel sells green fees to Fredericia Golf Club, Golfklubben Lillebælt and Birkemose Golf Club. Green Fee can be purchased individually or TRY3GOLF – 3 x Green Fee, a collaboration with the 3 clubs mentioned.
Swimming pool and waterpark: We offer 1 free admission for hotel guests to Fredericia Swimming and Waterpark in the neighboring building. Pick up an entrance ticket at the reception. Each guest has 1 free entry to the swimming pool/waterpark per stay.
Fitness: We offer 1 free access for hotel guests to the fitness center in Fredericia Idrætscenter next to the hotel. Pick up your access wristband at the reception.
Running: Pick up a running route for the local area at reception.
Miniby: Take a walk in the Historic Miniby 200 meters from the hotel. A miniature version of old Fredericia.
Madsby Play Park: At the opposite end of the park you can see from the hotel is a large outdoor playground – free and open all year round. During the summer months, a small train runs from the playground to the hotel. You can get a free family ticket for the train at the reception.
Bridgewalking: Take a walk across the old Little Belt Bridge – right up on the structure! The reception is happy to help you with information and ticket purchase.
